Adjunct Instructors will be responsible for teaching different classes in the Outdoor Education department each semester. Courses range from in-person expedition style classes to fully remote/online classes.
The adjunct instructor will be responsible for teaching classes in the Outdoor Education, Park Ranger and Recreation programs. This may include teaching using traditional or alternative methods of instruction, planning lessons, evaluating students, organizing field trips and expeditions, coordinating projects, and working with other faculty members in the department.
We are currently hiring for a number of different classes.
Education: Associates degree in Outdoor Education, Recreation, Environmental Education, or a related field with 2,000 hours of related experience in the field OR Associates degree and 4,000 hours of related experience in the field
• Current Wilderness First Responder Certification
• Adult CPR Certification
• Wilderness Anaphylaxis
Knowledge of local Colorado resources, and experience managing local, state, and federal Special Use Permits. A strong commitment to effective teaching and to the learner-centered philosophy. Experience working with diverse populations.
