Overview

The Reservations Manager is responsible for delivering high-quality customer service through all channels to all customers. This includes retail, phone, email, website, and marketing interactions with individuals, repeat customers, and large group sales. He/She is also responsible for providing insights on sales trends, customer profiles, technology updates, and customer contact channels to inform business strategy. The position is year-round and the time commitment is tied to seasonal customer demand. The Reservations Manager oversees a seasonal staff and is responsible for designing and delivering training curriculum, creating effective systems, and managing the staff for optimal effectiveness. He/She makes judgments on appropriateness of customer-product compatibility, as able. The Reservations manager acts as a Reservationist as needed to ensure timely response to customer inquiries.

Reports to: CEO

Time Commitment: Full time mid April-late September, part-time the rest of the year

Compensation: Starts at $15/hour (training rate), with opportunity to make up to $20/hour DOE

Qualifications:

The Reservations Manager should be able to manage all aspects of the front office including, but not limited to, customer service, website updates, software management and integrations, operations, and staff.

Required Skills:

-Management and/or Operations experience is highly desired.
- 3+ years in a customer-facing role in the outdoor industry or similar.
- Strong computer skills and strong ability to learn and teach new technology
- Deep familiarity with the outdoor industry, particularly in multiple sports we offer: rafting,
kayaking, mountain biking, climbing, mountaineering, rescue, SUP.
- Risk management experience in the outdoor industry
- Proven history of effective judgment and decision-making skills.

Preferred Skills:

-High capacity for problem-solving, collaboration, and awareness.
- Experience with incident response.
- Desire to mentor and coach entry-level employees
- Familiarity with or interest in business strategy
