Seacamp is currently hiring Cabin Counselors! Seacamp is located in Big Pine Key, Florida, in the beautiful Florida Keys. We are currently looking to fill positions starting May 22nd for our Summer 2021 season.

Seacamp is a non-profit organization offering a unique marine science/SCUBA residential camp for teenagers 10-17 and a marine science day camp for youth 10-13. Established in 1966, it is located near the most extensive coral reef in the continental United States in the middle of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. Seacamp offers courses in marine science, SCUBA diving, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, arts and crafts, photography, and camp newspaper. Residential Cabin Counselors live with and supervise a cabin of 5-10 teens aged 10-17 during their stay at camp. Counselors assist/ teach aquatics (including windsurfing and sailing), science classes, SCUBA classes, and/or creative expression classes during the day. In the evening they will participate in and lead evening programs and be responsible for the supervision of campers during that time as well as the campers’ free-time.

Cabin Counselors must be at least 19 years old; have completed one year of college; have a strong desire to work with children at a residential facility in a tropical marine environment; be able to adhere to camp policies; be positive role models, and be comfortable in the water with strong aquatic skills. SCUBA certification is preferred, but not required.

Seacamp is a private, non-profit, residential program that operates a marine science/SCUBA camp for teenagers during the summer and teaches outdoor marine education to school groups from September to May. Newfound Harbor Marine Institute is our environmental educational organization offering programs in marine science to visiting elementary, secondary, college, and adult groups. Seacamp was established in 1966 and is accredited by the American Camp Association.
