Part-Time Weekend Dormitory Parent
The primary goal of the Spring Street International School Residential Life Program is to take care of the emotional, physical, psychological, and intellectual health of the students in our dorm, in that order.
Dorm parents focus on spending time with the students individually while our chef focuses on providing healthy meals. During the weekend, dorm parents cook meals with students and work with faculty to plan activities both on and off-island, creating an opportunity to relax, to study, and to enjoy.
This is a 2/5th position but has an opportunity to increase to a 3/5th position for the right candidate who also can teach 1 non-academic elective such as video, game design, or theatre. There also is the opportunity to intern in classrooms for those considering a career in teaching. And, of course, we are always in need of additional leaders for our extensive EE program including Fall Trips for a week into the backcountry and our 3-week long Mayterms that range from the Southwest all the way to Nepal.
This position also comes with full room and board for the school year.
