Overview

The Post-Secondary Program Coordinator will join a growing Post-Secondary team with the goal of supporting our participants as they find their purpose and thrive in their chosen post-secondary pathway. Reporting to the Director of Post-Secondary Program, these hires will join a team of knowledgeable youth development professionals with a passion for innovation, equity, professional growth, and wellbeing.
We are hiring two Coordinators to build out the Post-Secondary team at our Seattle site, one for each phase of the post-secondary program:

Transition Program: These Post-Secondary Program Coordinators support participants in their junior and senior year of high school through the end of their first year after high school. They play a key role in advising program participants as they plan for, transition into, and progress through their first year of their chosen post-secondary pathway, whether college, a vocational track, a gap year program, or joining the military or workforce.

Pathways Program: These Post-Secondary Program Coordinators support participants during years 2-6 after high school as they progress in their post-secondary pathway, including but not limited to those who are approaching college graduation, attending a 2-year college, entering the workforce, and participants in need of health and wellness support.

About Summer Search

While young people from low-income communities – who are disproportionately young people of color – face systemic inequities in school, in the workforce, and in life, they possess unique strengths, resilience and tremendous potential. When provided with support and resources, these young people fulfill their potential and achieve success in school, work and life.

Through a combination of mentoring and transformative experiences, Summer Search supports young people to successfully transition from adolescence into adulthood. We aim to unleash the potential of our young people while also building a toolkit for navigating and challenging systemic barriers to higher education and career opportunities.
