Assistant Operations Manager
This position is responsible for assisting with Sunny Cove operational activities including, but not limited to trip logistics, shop duties, maintenance and repair of equipment, guiding or co-guiding trips, and participation in guide training. Must be willing to learn all aspects of operations, including guiding tours, learning the sales office, and working directly with Stephanie, the owner.

Prior guiding and management experience is preferred. This position will begin with onboarding over the winter and spring, followed by participation in guide training. This role will develop and expand over time and gain responsibilities as the person in this position becomes comfortable with all aspects of our operations.

Pay is DOE, and includes a yearly bonus, PTO, a SEP IRA (beginning year two), and private housing. This role is perfect for someone who has been working in guiding and tourism and is interested in learning more about business operations and development.

Qualifications:

Duties (includes but not limited to):

Support the owner and staff in day-to-day

Required Skills:

Excellent communication, management, and organizational skills

Previous experience in tourism, preferably with tour companies operating in remote locations

Ability to work well with both staff and guests, potentially in demanding situations

Top-notch leadership and mentorship skills

Strong computer skills

Valid Wilderness Responder Certification

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
