Head Backpack Leader for a 2-week summer trip for youth

Come volunteer with The Woods Project, a Texas based nonprofit that creates wilderness exploration experiences for Houston high school students from historically marginalized populations who wouldn’t otherwise have these opportunities. One aspect of our program which allows us to provide these experiences, is that we utilize trained volunteers to serve as trip and backpack leaders.

Our trips include guided, place-based field education with front country partners, as well as, an intensive six-day, extended wilderness backpacking adventure led by trained volunteers who serve as positive role models and expose students to a larger perspective.

Trip Guides Needed:
Olympic National Park, Washington from 6/16 – 6/28
Desolation Wilderness, California from 7/5 – 7/18

All food, lodging, and transportation (including airfare) are provided by The Woods Project.
