Overview

We are looking for Assistant Instructors who can work full-time for at least three of our week-long 100% outdoor summer camps from June 8 to August 16, 2025. Our camps take place in Sandpoint, ID, Coeur d’Alene, ID, Priest River, ID, Spokane, WA, and Bozeman, MT. If you’re not available for at least three weeks, let us know, as we may still be able to accommodate you.

Assistant Instructors mentor youth at our summer camps, help support Lead Instructors, and may work alongside teen MITs (Mentors-In-Training). Some of the time is spent with groups of 10-15 campers, while other time is spent with the whole camp of 25-35 campers. Assistant Instructors help support camper safety (physical & emotional), positive group dynamics, and facilitating connection to nature, community, and self. Assistant Instructors achieve this through mentoring youth in a variety of nature connection routines such as the art of questioning, sensory awareness, species identification, nature-based games, wildlife tracking, wild edible & medicinal plants, exploration, storytelling, songs, earth-based crafts, wilderness survival skills, earth-based scout skills, and bird language.
