The primary function of the Operating Executive (OE) is to advance the mission of the Western Massachusetts Climbers’ Coalition (WMCC) while ensuring the organization is financially and operationally sound. The OE will report to the Board of Directors and will expand the WMCC’s capacity to meet the evolving needs of the Western MA climbing community. The OE must be a passionate advocate of WMCC’s mission, with a strong desire to see the organization grow and succeed.
The OE will support the WMCC’s operations through fundraising, program support, event planning, communications, and record keeping. The OE will be tasked with identifying and pursuing new philanthropic support, including: events, grant funding, major gifts, business partnerships and individual support. The OE will have day-to-day decision making and leadership responsibilities. Additionally, the OE will act as a public representative of the organization to members of the WMCC climbing community, private landowners, state governments, the Access Fund, and other groups involved with our mission.
