Overview
WRV is building an ADA trail in Lady Moon Meadow southeast of Red Feather Lakes. Much of the work will be done with heavy machinery, but there are several places in which the neighboring trail needs to be rerouted to connect with the new ADA loop trail. We’ll construct some reroutes and restore the old trail sections.
We are looking for a Wilderness First Aid (or higher) certified individual to be our medic on this single-day project near Red Feather Lakes in Colorado. This person is responsible for attending to any injuries that may occur on-site and work with the WRV Staff Liaison to deal with emergencies. Barring any medical needs, the WFA volunteer is welcome and encouraged to help out with the trail work for the day.
The project is Saturday, September 28 from 9am-4pm.
Volunteers can drive up daily or car camp near the project.
Qualifications:
Wilderness First Aid certification
Required Skills:
Able to be on your feet for 8 hours, hiking on uneven terrain over marshy areas.
