Purpose of the Position

The Marketing and Communications Director is a results-oriented position with the goal of growing the Women’s Wilderness community and ensuring full enrollment of our girls’, women’s and LGBTQ+ courses. From a strategic and practical perspective, they oversee all marketing and outreach efforts, and lead the organization’s external communications and branding. They supervise the Outreach and Admissions Coordinator and interns as needed. This position requires big picture thinking/strategy and the ability to deliver and hustle at a very practical level as a member of a small team. The role is full-time, year-round and reports to the Executive Director.

Qualifications:

This role requires a combination of marketing, communications, community-building and outreach experience. The Marketing and Community Outreach Director’s ability to simultaneously work at a strategic level and deliver results on key activities will be critical. Specifically, this role requires:

5-10 years of marketing/communications experience
5-10 years of community-building, outreach and community engagement experience
Experience in developing strategy and budgets
