Overview
Day-long interpretive hiking tours in Yellowstone’s backcountry and frontcountry:
●Lamar Valley Safari Hike
●Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone Rim Hike
●Upper Geyser Basin Hike
●5-7 miles hiking at high elevation
●3-5 day/week (depending on your personal schedule)
Guides must share the same work/moral ethics as Yellowstone Hiking Guides. We work hard. We work cold snowy mornings. We work long, hot days. We like folks who commit to excellence. We like leaders who have a passion for outdoor education. We like guides who like to have fun!
Qualifications:
●Wilderness First Aid or Responder
●Leave No Trace
●Previous guiding experience
●Ability to follow directions (and the YHG program)
●21-years-old or older
●Mountain travel safety skills (weather, water, etc.)
●Morning person
●Knowledge of Yellowstone National Park flora, fauna, and history
Required Skills:
●Ability to work solo shifts
●Ability to hike at high elevation (3-5 days/week, depending on your schedule)
●Clean driving record
●Ability to drive on mountain roads
●Ability to live remotely
Preferred Skills:
●Dazzling personality; able to talk to and entertain people from all walks of life
●Ability to communicate in layman terms

YHG's mission is to safely lead groups through the rough terrain, weather and wildlife that makes Yellowstone a unique location.
We offer backcountry day hiking, lake kayaking, and backpacking tours in Yellowstone National Park. We also offer vehicle-based wildlife viewing tours with light hiking.
Work while exploring Yellowstone National Park! Share your love for the outdoors with visitors from around the world. Daily commute through Yellowstone. Spend your season (May-Sept) walking through herds of bison, steaming thermal features and untamed wild lands. If you're passionate about outdoor education, we're looking for you!
Daily Tours based out of Cameron, Montana near Quake Lake. Guides camp/van life at the Driftwaters RV Resort/Restaurant located next to office. Pay is competitive. Tips are exceptional. Year-end raises. PRO Discounts.
