About YMCA BOLD & GOLD - Seattle
BOLD & GOLD inspires courage, confidence, and multi-cultural leadership in diverse groups of young people ages 11-18 years old through wilderness experiences. The challenge and beauty of the outdoors comes together on our 1 to 3 week expeditions.
Our small groups (9/10 participants and 2/3 instructors) travel to some of the most beautiful and natural places in the Pacific Northwest to discover what they are capable of and build their community. Along the way we rock climb, backpack, paddle, and explore what multi-cultural leadership is while creating new friendships and lifelong memories. Your venue will be the wild and beautiful crystal clear alpine lakes of the North Cascades, the rugged beaches of the Olympic Coast, the rock walls of Squamish and Smith Rocks, or glistening snow slopes of Mount Baker. Our participants will return from their programs knowing that the confidence, strength and friendships they developed will help them meet any challenge on the trail, in the classroom,
