Position Summary:
The Building & Grounds Department at Snow Mountain Ranch is seeking staff who can help assist in repairing minor problems in public areas and private accommodations. This includes picking up trash, watering flowers, working on roofs, and assisting year-round employees on a variety of projects. Required Skills:

- Must possess a valid, USA state issued drivers license, an acceptable driving record, and comply with YMCA driving rules to be approved to operate YMCA vehicles.
- Demonstrate the ability to fluently read, write and speak English.
- Lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs. up to 48 off the ground.
- Work on your feet and knees for an eight-hour shift, inside and outside, sometimes in extreme conditions.
- Climb ladders, scaffolding and work on roofs.

Preferred Skills:

- Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- Assist year-round employees and follow their instructions on projects.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
-Learn to repair minor problems in facilities including changing light bulbs, install screens and unclog toilets.
- Pick up trash on assigned route and dispose of properly.
Up to 100 bags per 8-hour shift
Bags may way up to 50 lbs. but most will be under 25.

YMCA of the Rockies operates two family resorts, residential camps for kids, and conference centers located on both sides of Rocky Mountain National Park. We offer 2 to 8 month work agreements for short-term and seasonal positions. We also offer volunteer opportunities, gap year programs, and year-round careers. Our two centers are located on both the eastern and western slope of the Continental Divide. Estes Park Center lives on the eastern slope and is only an hour from Boulder and 1.5 hours from Denver. Snow Mountain Ranch (Also known as The Ranch) is located on the western side and resides in a more remote area known as the Fraser Valley.
