Pay: $80.00 – $120.00 per day
Job description:
Summer Trip Leader: Co-Lead 1, 2 or 3 week all outdoors camping/backpacking trips with co-ed groups of campers ages 9-17 (grouped by age) located on our 474 acre property and throughout the National Forests of SW Virginia and West Virginia. We train you to lead the following activities: High and low ropes, backpacking, canoeing, and team building games. You will also assist in these instructor lead activities: rock climbing (single pitch), kayaking, caving, and mountain biking.
Seasonal Group Leader: Our seasonal Group Leaders work with our residential group program. Group Leaders transition to becoming Summer Trip Leaders during the summer months and continue to work with our residential program and special events throughout the Fall.
Qualifications:
Head Leaders: 21+yo
Assistant Leaders: 18+yo
Previous experience working with youth or adults
Strong Interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently without direct supervision
Must have a love for the outdoors. Backpacking or camping experience preferred
Current Wilderness First Aid & CPR certification preferred

Wilderness Adventure at Eagle Landing is an Adventure Camp, Conference and Retreat Center located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwest Virginia.
Operating all year-round, our programs range from backpacking summer camps to weeklong school trips to gourmet dining events. We pride ourselves on offering fully customizable programs catered to the needs, goals and expectations of our guests.
Founded in 1990 by retired Marine Colonel Gene Nervo and his family, Wilderness Adventure at Eagle Landing began as a backpacking camp for ages 8-18. Over the past 30 years, the program has grown and is now a year round conference, adventure and retreat center in addition to a Summer Adventure Camp!
