Camp Arcadia is a summer camp that strengthens young girls and women ages 7-17 years old. Our mission is to make the world better and more beautiful because you have been in it. Each year, we bring together a staff from around the world to create a memorable summer for our community. Have a passion for working with young people and are curious to experience the magic of summer camp, but don’t 100% meet all of the qualifications below? We encourage you to apply anyway!
-Hike 4-5 days per week in the mountains of Maine and New Hampshire
-Responsible for organizing, promoting, and packing trip, including supporting the logistics, food preparation, and overall safety while on trips
-Write trip reports in a timely manner
-Work directly with the Head of Trips to prepare and debrief Trip activities
-Maintain equipment and organization of the Trip Shed
-Ability to drive a 12-passenger van for short trips and longer (up to 6 hours)
-Age Requirement: 21+
-Clean Driver’s record and ability to drive a 12-passenger van in USA preferred
-Certifications: Wilderness First Aid and CPR (LGT a plus)
-Ability to commit to Camp Opening, Staff Orientation and the Camp Season from June 6th- August 11th. Depending on your role, you may also be requested to work Family Camp for the remainder of August
- Experience with and a passion for working with children
- Experience on day, overnight and multi-day hiking trips
About Camp Arcadia for Girls
We are a residential girls camp in Maine entering into our 108th season. Our staff comes from all over the United States and the World. As a Camp, we have a strong belief in the power of outdoor experiences for young women. We are in the Sebago lake region of western Maine, near the white mountains of Maine and New Hampshire, and about an hour from Portland.
