About The Athenian School

The Athenian Wilderness Experience (AWE) is the capstone outdoor adventure program of The Athenian School in Danville, CA. We run 26-day wilderness backpacking expeditions for 11th grade students in Death Valley National Park in the spring and the Sierra Nevada mountains in the summer.
