Alaska Sea Kayakers is seeking guides for the 2024 summer season! This job can be a fulfilling experience for any who is willing to learn, has a love of the outdoors, and enjoys a social working environment.

Based in Whittier, we run a variety of day trips in Prince William Sound. As a first year guide, you can expect to work fairly long days bookended by gear and kayak preparation/clean up with the majority of your time being spent on the water with guests. Pay is competitive compared to other outfits in the area and increases significantly with each returning year. If interested, second year guides who have demonstrated excellence in their first year can look forward to beginning to work multi-day trips. Our 5 day ACA training course will be scheduled in mid/late May or early June. Trips run through early September.

Qualifications:

Completion of ACA Level 2 skills (paddling) and leadership certification. (The 5 day course is available in early season.)
WFA is required minimum medical certification.

Required Skills:

Customer service skills in a highly social environment.
