Overview

Camp Kinneret is looking for Nature & Ecology Instructors for the 2023 Summer Season. These instructors will facilitate hands-on learning about the natural world through active lesson plans, nature crafts, and hikes. Our campers range from 4 – 14 years old, and we are seeking compassionate individuals who will engage children in activities that further their awareness of the world around them in an outdoor, non-classroom setting. The salary for a first year staff person ranges from $6,500 – $7,000 for the 10-week summer.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be 18 years of age or have graduated high school and must have summer housing available to them in the greater Los Angeles area (Conejo, San Fernando, or Simi Valleys).

Required Skills:

A background in teaching or in environmental/natural sciences is preferred.

About Camp Kinneret Summer Day Camp

We are a summer day camp that prides itself on creating a fun, supportive environment for our campers and staff. We call ourselves a child-centered program, meaning that our attitude and approach to everything we do at camp focuses on creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our campers.

We are looking for motivated individuals who have a desire to teach, nurture, and create lasting memories. In addition to the growth you will see in your campers, you will also face lots of growth! Through your challenges and successes, our Leadership Team (a group of camp and education professionals) will support and guide you as you become a stronger leader, develop important life skills, and have a lot of fun!
