Overview
Play a crucial role in the successful launch and operation of a small adventure tourism business. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks. This dynamic role requires adaptability, creativity, strong organizational skills, and a genuine passion for outdoor adventure and hospitality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Computer / phone time: answering emails & calls, taking in bookings, taking care of daily communication with guests. Estimated to 10-15% of the job.
– Taking care of the office / bike rental: cleaning gear and the place, putting up in place systems, fitting guests to their bikes, general maintenance, shopping, maintenance of the van. Estimated to 30-50% of the job.
– Guiding: hiking and biking tours including prepping the tour and de-prepping after the tour. Welcoming guests, choosing the route, etc. Estimated to 40-55% of the job.
TERMS:
– 70-100% position of 40hrs / week from 1st June to 30th September 2024
– 30000nok / month including feriepenger. + Tips to be expected.
– End of contract bonus: 5% of the profit
– Training on the different platforms (bookings / emails / payment terminal) in April (paid 200nok / hr)
– Possibility to extend the contract to the winter.
Required Skills:
- Driving license
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge on bike mechanic and maintenance (or strong desire to learn)
- 1st Aid certification
- Genuine desire to actively and reliably participate to the launch of a small business
- European passport (from any EU country) in order to get a work permit in Norway
