Overview

The primary role of this position is as a Camp Helper at our Alaska Wilderness SAFARI camp, but you will begin to learn the guiding ropes along the way. Typical duties included cleaning tents, camp chores, helping out in the kitchen, dish washing, taking care of our guests, supporting the guides, and supporting other day to day activities. You will also work around planes, helicopters and boats. This is a perfect job for someone with little or no guiding experience, but wants to become a guide.

The 2022 season runs from approximately 7/26 to 10/1. Candidate must be available to work the entire duration.

Minimum monthly salary is $1,600 per month + you share in a very generous tip pool. We also provide room and board AND will reimburse round-trip airfare to/from Alaska.

Qualifications:

We are seeking professional, hard working, serious, team oriented (no ego-maniacs), non-alcoholic and drug free people with a passion for fishing, the outdoors and hospitality.

Required Skills:

Candidate must possess wilderness, outdoor and camping skills, be in good physical shape and must have good working knowledge of firearms. Fishing skills or experience is helpful, but not required. CPR and First-aid certification required prior to start of season.
