WHAT DOES THIS JOB INVOLVE?
As the Outdoor Leadership Teacher you will develop and lead this unique 3-week course, which aims to help our students develop and build on essential life skills like communication, decision-making, teamwork and confidence.
Our campuses at Cambridge and Yale offer the perfect backdrop for this course, with a wealth of facilities available in both locations. During the course you will lead your students through a range of varied and exciting outdoor activities, from sailing to group games and team building exercises, helping them to reach their personal goals and have fun.
You will have your own class of international students aged 13-18 years old. Our classes are kept small in order to provide individual attention, personalised instruction and create an encouraging, supportive and fun environment for students to learn while making new friends from around the world.
Although we provide every teacher a guide as to what each lesson should achieve, we ask our teachers to bring their own experience and personality to each class and create their own stimulating and challenging lesson plans.
We are looking for an experienced Outdoor Educator/facilitator who is an expert in leading team-building activities for young people and is confident in their skills and knowledge to develop an exciting and challenging three-week programme.
All of our summer positions are fully residential and all of our staff teams will be actively involved in the various events and activities that we put on for our students.
