Overview
The Day Camp Programs Manager is responsible for managing and implementing all day camp programs during the summer months. The Day Camp Programs Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation of all KSS camp programs including staffing, training, administrative, financial management, and program development. The Day Camp Programs Manager will also oversee all aspects of permitting, safety, licensing, equipment, and logistics associated with all Day Camp programs. The Day Camp Programs Manager will hire, train, and directly supervise seasonal summer leadership staff, seasonal day camp staff, and seasonal pathfinders staff. In collaboration with the Programs Director and marketing team, the Day Camp Programs Manager will also develop new programs and curriculum.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree;
1 year management experience;
2 years experience developing outdoor youth programming;
Minimum 2 years experience with current practices of risk management in the outdoor and environmental education industry;
Current Wilderness First Responder and CPR certification, from an approved vendor, or the ability to obtain within 90 days;
Must be 21 years of age and possess a Colorado driver’s license, meet extensive background check criteria

Strategic thinker who communicates professionally and effectively with diverse staff, volunteers, donors, prospects, and community stakeholders.
Ability to maintain consistent exercise of discretion and confidentiality
Preferred Skills:
Rock Climbing experience
Paddling or water sports experience
Basic comprehension of the Spanish language, written and/or verbal.
Knowledge of outdoor education and K-12 science education.
