Overview
As a Deputy Operations Manager, you’ll get the opportunity to play an active role in delivering unique experiences to our customers, to ensure they have the best travel experience ever!
The Deputy Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in the successful and profitable running of Intrepid & Wildland Trekking Co. trips to the standards stipulated by Intrepid and Wildland Trekking’s policies and practices. You will be the main point of contact for field staff working in the branch as well as the Operations teams. You’ll be responsible for the overall performance of California trips, including maintaining and operating a branch warehouse location, and performing business administrative duties related to the branch. In addition, you will work closely with the contracting, reservations, sales and other functions for the branch.
This job is based in our office in Mariposa, CA and is full-time, seasonal from March–October. Part-time, casual work outside of season may be needed. A willingness to maintain a flexible schedule and work weekends and/or holidays is necessary.
What you need to know:
The salary for this position is 55-67k annually, – as this is an annualized salary, you would be paid at that rate of the actual weeks of work (March through October)
During March-October housing is included for the Program Manager on-site.
You will need to meet company and DOT driving requirements and maintain a valid Driver’s License
Must be at least 21 years of age
Maintain a current Wilderness First Responder, CPR & Epi Certification
You must pass a background check

Required Skills:
A passion for travel is a must! In addition, you’ll bring with you...
-Extensive knowledge of the field area (Yosemite, Inyo NF, Stanislaus NF, Sierra NF, Sequoia-Kings NP, Lassen NP and King Range)
-Travel industry work experience, preferably as a tour leader or guide
-Excellent communication (verbal & written) in English
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Excel and previous experience with a CRM system (Salesforce is an advantage!)
-Strong supervisory, facilitation and organizational skills
