Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual for an Outdoor Experiential Education Teacher role for our new “Mountain Explorers” local elective course. This position involves creating and implementing educational programs that integrate outdoor experiences and hands-on learning to enhance students’ understanding of various subjects. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for the outdoors, experience in teaching outdoor education, and a strong background in elementary education.

North Carolina K-6 Elementary Education Licensure: Possess a valid teaching license for elementary education in North Carolina, demonstrating your ability to teach students from fifth to sixth grade. Previous experience integrating North Carolina standards into innovative, engaging, inquiry-based lessons in outdoor studies is preferred. If you do not have a NC Teaching License but possess a bachelor’s degree or higher, we can help you get certified.
