The Head Logistics Coordinator (HLC) is a part of the Program Team and assists in the overall logistical management of Outward Bound California’s Southern California program. Areas of oversight include: food program, gear and equipment issue and repair, driving, vehicle fleet coordination and maintenance, inventory management, overall management of course functions and vision, and basecamp food and functions management. This position reports to the Southern California Program Director.
High school graduate and 1-3 years logistics experience
Prior Outward Bound or outdoor education logistics experience
Must hold a valid Driver's License and be willing to acquire (or current holder of) a California Class Class C with passenger endorsement license within 1 month of start date
Comfortable with general camping skills and camping in desert environments. Comfortable working outdoors, regardless of weather or conditions
On feet 75% of time performing logistical tasks in temps rangin
