Dates: 6/1/2020-8/13/2020
Pay: $650-850/week DOE
Summary: Lead two different high school trail crews. One- 3 week High School Day Crew, Monday-Thursday. One- 5 week Monday -Thursday High School camping trail crew. Focus on safety, group cohesion, and quality project work.

Responsibilities:
Group management at both work site and camp, focusing on group cohesion and development
Responsible for physical and emotional safety of crew at all times
Instruct, support, and mentor High School youth in trail building skills
Coordinate food, vehicle, and crew logistics
Project Management in field including documentation and quality control of project wok
Provide developmental opportunities for crew
Instruct Wilderness First Aid skills
Create positive co-guiding relationship with other Crew Leader
Coordinate with Trails Program Coordinator about crew, project work, and logistics
Represent SBTS professionally to project partners and public

About Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship

Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship runs trails programs in the Lost Sierra region of California. We have successfully built over 100 miles of new trail, engaged over 100,000 of volunteer trail hours. We work to maintain and development new trails for multiple user groups.
