Overview

Slipknot Livestock is seeking a camp cook for this year’s branding season, ~ May 15-June 15. The camp cook/chef is responsible for providing breakfast and dinner for a crew of 15-20 people (early morning starts for cowboy crew means even earlier mornings for cook). THIS IS A CAMP JOB which means you will be living and working in a remote area without modern appliances. The kitchen is an enclosed space built on the back of a 2 1/2 ton army truck with a gas stove, wood stove with grill, and an outdoor propane 2 burner camp chef. Kitchen is also outfitted with a sink, water tank, and coolers for cold food storage. Cookware will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. Cook is responsible for menu planning as well as meal cleanup. Lodging will either consist of a teepee tent or a bunk in the army truck.

Location: We are about halfway between Rawlins and Casper. Camp will be moved a few times depending on where the crew will be working. This job is great for the adventurous spirit; located on the historic and beautiful Sweetwater River, there are ample opportunities for fishing, rockhounding, climbing, hiking, or whatever else in the surrounding desert and mountains.
