Overview
The individual placement will work in collaboration with permanent staff, bringing skills in design and communication, to develop products for multiple audiences. Project will include updating information that has not seen significant updates in over a decade and creating new products to engage audiences following best practices of 21st Century Interpretation and design theory.
Qualifications:
· United States citizen, United States national, or a lawful permanent resident alien
· At least 17 years of age
· Has received a high school diploma or equivalency certificate; or has not dropped out of elementary or secondary school to enroll as an AmeriCorps participant, and agrees to obtain a high school diploma or its equivalent prior to using the education award
· Agrees to provide information to establish eligibility and to complete a National Service Criminal History Check.
Required Skills:
· Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
· Interested in preserving and communicating important information and stories related to the history of the United States.
· Speak, read, and write in English
Preferred Skills:
· Able to use a computer and familiar with programs such as the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
· Able to work well independently and as part of a team and communicate needs and challenges effectively.
· Able to manage time to meet project deadlines.
