Overview

The Business Development Coordinator at the Whitewater Center is responsible for developing and maintaining key relationships with businesses, schools, not-for-profits, and other entities. The Business Development Coordinator is a salaried, on-site, benefits eligible position that reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities
• Maintain appropriate engagement tracking systems.
• Organize and execute acquisition strategies to acquire new clients.
• Develop and execute a semi-annual business development/recruiting plan to drive desired results.
• Review RPF opportunities and submit applications as necessary.
• Attending events on behalf of Whitewater as needed.
• Perform needs assessments and develop sales proposals and presentations.
• Monitor production and business remits of existing client base.
• Leverage resources from the group sales team to deliver desired outcomes.
• Identify and pursue inbound sponsorship opportunities that are in line with the Whitewater brand.
• Maintain accurate knowledge of activities, products, and services offered at Whitewater.
• Communicate with clients in a polite, clear, and confident manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
• Must be able to work outdoors for sustained periods of time in all weather and environmental conditions.
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, stand, lean, and kneel on a regular basis and for sustained periods of time.
• Must be able to safely self-transport over uneven terrain or in a confined space.
• Must be able to work in shared spaces with other employees and customers.
• All positions as Whitewater require employees to report and work onsite at Whitewater locations.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Maintain a clean, professional, and healthy appearance, and adhere to dress code standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work well under pressure and make decisions independently.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during other Whitewater events as needed.
