Overview
I’m running an 11 day trip as part of a 12th grade class focused on water in California. For one part of this class, students are going to bike a section of the California aqueduct, so that they can see that structure in a more personal and experiential context.
I’m accordingly looking for someone to do logistical transportation of bikes from Urban to the Central Valley and back again. This would involve picking up a U-Haul trailer in San Francisco, taking it to the school, loading bikes onto it, driving out to Hatfield in the Central Valley, camping out for a night, sagging the bike trip, and then taking the bikes back to the school and returning the U-Haul. You’d pick up the trailer, load the bikes, and drive out on Friday, May 26; you could either return to SF in the late, late evening of Saturday, May 27 or return in the morning of Sunday, May 28 (which would be more sane, in my view). You’d be camping out in the valley. You’d eat with students (food is provided). Pay is $600. Please contact Geoff at [email protected] with questions or to apply.
Required Skills:
Must pass an FBI background check, have a clean drivers license, and be at least 25 (per our car insurance regulations).
Preferred Skills:
Good sense of humor; interest in water, ag, or climate change.
