Overview

Essential Job Functions
Provide excellent customer service and exceed customer expectations.
Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of venue areas, including banquet equipment, to meet function specifications.
Assist with tasks including, but not limited to, cleaning, stocking, folding, polishing silverware and glassware etc.
Refresh food and beverage buffets in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices in all venue spaces, including food service areas and restrooms.
Remove china, glassware, silverware, etc. from tables at the conclusion of meal service, and deliver to the clearing area.
Maintain composure and communication in a fast-paced environment to ensure smooth operations.
Ensure menu knowledge, and relay important information about orders, allergies, and special requests to the appropriate person.
Respond urgently and appropriately to any customer concerns or issues.
Present in a professional appearance and mannerisms at all times.
Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships and ensure the success of the event.

Physical Aspects of the Job:
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds including unloading food, supplies, and equipment as needed.
Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards of the site and facilities, as well as guest and staff behavior.
Physical ability to operate kitchen and banquet equipment according to safe recommended methods.
Physical mobility and endurance to perform tasks while standing/walking for long periods of time.
Ability to provide first aid and assist guests and staff in an emergency.

Working Schedule
This is a part-time, seasonal position with flexible hours.
The candidate must be available to work events during May/early June and then from August – October with weekends (Friday – Sunday) required.
A typical shift will be between 7 – 9 hours and will include nights and weekends.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position is between $15-18 per hour, depending on experience, with supplemental gratuities.

Qualifications and experience:
Prior experience in hospitality, banquet, or camp dining is required.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for up to 8 hours at one time.
Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines.
Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills to work collaboratively with other team members.
Effective verbal communication skills and ability to follow verbal directions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
