Job Title: Wild Youth Passages Clinical Director
Program Type: Adolescent Nature-Based Therapy Program
Job Type: Part-time, 1099 Contractor
Location: In-Person (Remote/In-Person Hybrid possible)

Wild Nature Wellness, a dynamic and growing nature-based mental health practice, is seeking a Clinical Director for their Wild Youth Passages program. Wild Youth Passages is an ecotherapy and adventure-based therapy program for youth ages 13-18 struggling with mental health challenges in Summit County, CO. Participants in the two existing cohorts are all adolescents with moderate to severe mental health diagnoses, including trauma, anxiety and/or depression, suicidality and self-harming behaviors. This ecotherapy and experiential therapy program utilizes trauma-informed interventions in combination with CBT, DBT, art therapy and mindfulness practices. Weekly experiential activities and retreats include nature walks, art therapy, hiking, cooking classes, teambuilding and leadership activities, rock climbing, high and low ropes courses, forest bathing walks, camping, cross-country skiing, backpacking, horticultural therapy, yoga, equine therapy, animal shelter visits, paddleboarding, mountain biking, winter hut trips, and more.
Teen groups meet on a weekly basis and embark on weekend retreats on an average of once every three months. WYP focuses on building emotional regulation skills, social skills, healthy communication skills, resiliency, and an increased connection to nature among Summit County youth by incorporating in-society and retreat-based outdoor programming on a year-round basis.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Program Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator, Clinicians, Interns, and Wilderness Guides to implement weekly programming.
• Provide weekly clinical supervision for Wild Youth Passages case managers and therapists weekly.
• Create curriculum for weekly programming and retreats in collaboration with therapists and interns.
• Supervise remotely or attend/lead weekly sessions and quarterly therapeutic retreats as appropriate.
• Lead a clinical case conceptualization meeting weekly to review participant progress and treatment plans with WYP staff.
• Support therapists with on-call crisis support as needed on scheduled workdays.
• Attend relevant community meetings for outreach and collaboration purposes.
• Provide client advocacy with other systems of care, as appropriate (education, health, social services, etc.)
• Provide high-level clinical interventions as needed with adolescents and family systems.
• Train new staff and interns.
• Work with insurance companies and donors to increase revenue for program.
• Gather participant outcome data on a quarterly basis and utilize data to inform donors about clinical outcomes of program.
• Collaborate with Executive Director and Program Coordinator to create a 501c3 structure by 2025 to increase financial revenue.

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or Social Work.
· Minimum 3+ years of post-licensure field experience.
· Experience providing mental health care for adolescents with complex trauma and high-risk presentations.
· Educational and/or field experience utilizing nature-based, adventure-based and experiential therapy modalities.
· Experience supervising candidates for licensure and interns.
· Experience working with parents and complex family systems.
