The Development Specialist is an ambitious, creative and organized driver of resources to support the mission of Women’s Wilderness. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Development Specialist leads on articulating big-picture fundraising strategy as well as implementing the daily tasks of all fundraising campaigns, including individual giving, foundation grants and corporate sponsorship, and special events. This position is focused more on individual donors, volunteers and events but also plays a key role in coordinating and securing institutional funding through grants.
High school diploma or equivalent degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred in relevant field (i.e. Public Relations, Marketing, English, Outdoor Education, Human Rights, Environment)
Excellent communication skills, including intentional listening, speaking, and writing skills required
Ability to convey passion for social justice, girls’ and women’s health and leadership and/or the outdoors in a persuasive and powerful way
3+ years of experience managing a nonprofit development/fundraising
