Overview
The main function of this position is to research, strategize, and implement Women’s Wilderness programs and ensure programmatic success. This role works collaboratively with all members of the Women’s Wilderness team and is a key leader in contributing to organizational leadership, strategy, and vision. This position manages program budgets, takes an active role in resource mobilization, and leads on a number of key external partnerships.
This role supervises a team of year-round and seasonal employees. This role reports to the Executive Director. Our ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit and vision, is a team player, and thrives in dynamic environments.
Qualifications:
-5-7 years experience in delivering or supporting outdoor programs focusing on gender-informed environmental, or physical and mental health indicators for youth and adults
-5-7 years experience effectively managing groups/teams, facilitating curriculum and trainings for diverse audience
-5-7 years experience demonstrating culturally responsive best practices in working with racially, ethnically, socioeconomically diverse populations
Required Skills:
-Entrepreneurial spirit, creative thinking, and ability to tangibly deliver on visionary ideas
-Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced and at times, ambiguous non-profit environment
-Demonstrated commitment to social justice, equity and/or environmental conservation/ stewardship, public health and/or mental health
-Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work well independently and collaboratively. Give and receive feedback well
-Results-orientation, ability to self-organize.
