The Senior Programs Support role supports the planning and implementation of all Women’s Wilderness summer programs. This is a hands-on role that is crucial to the success of programs and works in collaboration with the Program Director, Logistics Coordinators, and Field Staff. The Senior Programs Support is responsible for ~50% of course briefs and debriefs, will ensure instructors are supported on course start days, and will facilitate key elements of backcountry staff training with support from the Program Director. This role will also provide on-call support for courses in the field 1-2 days per week and 1 weekend per month in the summer season. This is a seasonal position beginning in May 2022.

5+ weeks of backcountry field experience highly desirable
Previous experience instructing with Women’s Wilderness highly desirable
Wilderness First Responder certified
2+ years outdoor education, wilderness therapy and/or climbing instruction experience
Experiencing leading field staff trainings
Experiencing working with diverse youth
Experiencing caring for, maintaining and repairing outdoor gear
Experience working effectively on diverse teams

Required Skills:

Ability to communicate and collaborate with a large and dynamic team
Ability to work autonomously and in a team in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in facilitating group feedback
Experience managing people (preferred)
Experience using Google/G Suite
Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
