Overview

The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Project Odyssey Manager supports Wounded Warrior Project’s Mental Health and Wellness programs by serving wounded service members dealing with invisible injuries (e.g., post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other forms of military trauma, and operational stress) through Project Odyssey. The Project Odyssey manager oversees the teams as they plan, manage, and execute all aspects of multi-day mental health workshops and virtual program delivery through a learning management system to provide support and resources to warriors and their families to enhance their resiliency and psychological well-being. The Project Odyssey Manager manages local and remote teammates, oversees the budget, and collaborates with internal and external resources to ensure alignment with strategic goals.

Note: Project Odyssey is a 12-week program that encourages warriors to challenge themselves both physically and mentally while in a supportive environment. A 12-week Project Odyssey consists of a five-day experiential learning workshop and 11 weeks of follow up. Project Odyssey is also delivered in a virtual space over the course of six to twelve weeks using virtual experiential sessions and a learning management system.

Required Skills:

Requirements:

Five years of experience working with veteran healthcare-focused programs, case management or business design.
Five years of experience working with military or veterans’ population in support of their development and readjustment.
Three years of staff management or leadership experience. Completion of a formal leadership development program may be considered in lieu of management experience.

Five years of experience working with and providing support to wounded service members who are dealing with both visible and invisible injuries, e.g., brain injury, post-traumatic stress disorder, other forms of military trauma and combat stress.
Four years of staff management or leadership experience.
Four years of experience working with brain injuries or mental health case management.
Three years of experience designing evidenced based programs.
