The YMCA recreation and camping program is hiring individuals who enjoy nature and the outdoors and are looking for adventure.
Do you like to lead others? Do you enjoy being outdoors or in the wilderness? Do you enjoy team-building activities such as low or high ropes courses? The YMCA recreation and camping program offers flexible schedules, career development and is a FUN environment.
At the YMCA recreation and camping program, we have a passion for having a positive impact on youth, teens, families and adults. We are nature focused, outdoor education, team-building leaders!
As a wilderness team-building guide, you will get paid to lead groups and host program participants in nature. You will lead and participate in all outdoor education such as hiking, climbing, belaying, physical games, and building campfires for all campers. As a wilderness team-building guide you will join in recreation and camp programs such as low ropes courses and high ropes courses. The wilderness team-building guide must have the ability to be outside in all weather conditions for prolonged periods to facilitate outdoor education such as the low ropes courses, high ropes courses, and nature activities.
