YMCA of the Rockies is seeking an HVAC Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems across Snow Mountain Ranch. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and operational efficiency of facilities serving more than 50,000 guests annually.
What You’ll Do
Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, perform preventive maintenance, respond to service calls and emergency repairs, and ensure all systems operate safely and efficiently. You’ll read and interpret schematics and technical manuals, maintain service records, ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and support the Buildings and Grounds team with facility maintenance projects.
What We’re Looking For
Candidates should have at least one year of HVAC experience, EPA 608 Certification, and a strong understanding of heating, cooling, refrigeration, and ventilation systems. The ideal candidate is a dependable problem-solver with strong diagnostic skills, excellent customer service abilities, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A valid U.S. driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required.
The Setting
Work in a unique mountain environment that includes guest lodges, maintenance facilities, and scenic ranch property in the Colorado Rockies. Every day offers a mix of routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and hands-on projects that directly support guests and staff.
Physical Requirements
This role requires working indoors and outdoors year-round, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, bending, and working in mechanical rooms, confined spaces, and varying weather conditions.
