Lead Ebike Mechanic

Overview

The Lead eBike Mechanic is responsible for ensuring Zion Guru’s fleet of electric bikes is safe, reliable, and maintained to the highest standards. This position leads all aspects of fleet maintenance, repair, preventative maintenance scheduling, quality control, and shop organization to deliver an exceptional experience for every guest.

The Lead eBike Mechanic oversees the daily operation of the bike shop, prioritizes repairs, manages maintenance records, maintains parts inventory, and ensures every bike is trail- and road-ready before each rental or tour. This role also assists in diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues, performing warranty work, and coordinating with manufacturers when necessary.

In addition to technical expertise, the Lead eBike Mechanic serves as a leader within the operations team by training and mentoring other mechanics, promoting safe work practices, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and collaborating with rental staff, guides, and management to keep operations running efficiently during peak demand.

The ideal candidate possesses advanced bicycle and eBike repair and diagnostic skills, excellent attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. They are highly organized, able to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment, and capable of solving mechanical problems efficiently. Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and maintain accurate maintenance and inventory records.

Preferred Skills:

The ideal candidate has experience leading or mentoring mechanics, managing parts inventory, and overseeing preventative maintenance programs for rental fleets. Manufacturer certifications or experience servicing major eBike systems are preferred, along with familiarity with suspension service and warranty repairs. A passion for cycling, outdoor recreation, and continuous improvement, combined with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, will contribute to success in this role.
