Alzar Gap Instructors motivate, inspire, and educate our students. They are charismatic individuals who are excited to share their life experiences, passion for the outdoors, and commitment to learning. Our instructors enjoy working in dynamic and sometimes challenging environments without direct supervision. Qualifications:
- BS or equivalent
- WFR, CPR/AED, and Epinepherine Administration certification
- Swiftwater Rescue certification
- Fluency in English, intermediate or advanced Spanish
Required Skills:
- Intermediate proficiency in whitewater river environments (either rafting and/or kayaking): Approximately 400 river miles class 3 or above documented as the primary person responsible for the craft
- Intermediate proficiency in backpacking and campcraft: Approximately 30 days of wilderness or expedition based travel, experience navigating with a topographical map and compass
