Overview
Broadreach Adventures leads immersive, international programs for teens. This position correlates to our land based programs, focused on ecology, wildlife and conservation, and are based primarily in Costa Rica, Ecuador and Bahamas.
Students build new skills and become better global citizens through hands-on discovery, travel and interaction with the world’s oceans, ecosystems and wildlife.
Instructors mentor and supervise students as they travel in a small group, complete community service projects, participate in high adventure activities, and observe local professionals. This is a 24/7 position and groups are eating meals together and staying at the same accommodations as they travel.

Experience working with Middle School or High School Students in a classroom setting, summer camp or trip leading capacity.
Group facilitation experience and an understanding of group dynamic and conflict resolution concepts.
A valid WFR certification throughout the course of the summer. (Broadreach hosts a WFR course in the spring, instructors can opt into the course and would be responsible for paying the course fee.)

Instructors placed in Costa Rica are required to speak and understand Spanish in verbal and written form.
Some programs require a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a manual car.
