Overview
The Nurse’s Assistant is a certifier EMT (or higher) who works in tandem with Camp Nurse to provide medical aid to staff, volunteers, and campers.
• Screens campers for medical needs when they arrive at camp; before and after hikes
• Prepares First Aid Kits for hikes, vehicles, campsites & buildings
• Keeps medical logbooks
• Works with Nurse & Director for emergency response or evacuations
• Prepares inventory and needed supplies list at the end of each session
All camp staff live in tents in a rugged outdoor environment.
Dates: June 14 – Aug 12, with option to work until Aug 17, 2026
Compensation: $5,220 + bonus for experience
Qualifications:
The nurse’s assistant should enjoy and have experience working with children and must have a current valid EMT or higher certification.
