Overview
Spend the summer at this rustic residential camp working with 7-12 year-olds. Live in open-air cabins with youth, creating and implementing daily activities. — counselors get to decide what activities they lead, so you plan a lot of what your day looks like. Meals included. Extra pay for certifications. Worker’s compensation coverage provided. WiFi available.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 17 years old, have First Aid and CPR certification. We are a small community, so being able to work closely with others is a must. Having skills in guitar or ukelele, knowing Spanish or Chinese, organic gardening, archery or lifeguarding is a plus!
Required Skills:
Able to care for groups of campers, leave the cell phone for several hours, interact with all ages. A love of nature is a must.
Preferred Skills:
A skill to share with the campers (nature crafts, guitar, woodworking). A musical instrument to play.
About Camp Woodbrooke
Camp Woodbrooke is a unique, residential summer camp located on 162 acres where up to 34 campers ages 7-12 can explore the natural world in a caring, safe community. Campers make cooperative decisions about activities, participate in daily work crews, and practice life skills such as independence, accountability, negotiation, and decision making. A small program for teenagers 13-15 expands on the experiences and opportunities of the younger campers.
