Overview
Highland School is a PK-12 independent school located in the piedmont of Virginia 30 miles from Shenandoah National Park and 50 miles from the Washington D.C. We seek someone who has the background for teaching environmental sciences, including field science and backcountry experiences. The school is committed to experiential learning and leadership training.
Qualifications:
B.S. in related major, first aid certifications and NOLS experience are a plus
Required Skills:
Ability and desire to work with college bound high school students.
Strong organizational skills and work ethic
Preferred Skills:
Interest in program growth and development. Our goal is to continue to develop a premier field science program and to inspire future stewards of the environment.
