Hiring Now-March 31st. Pay $22-32/hr. OT, Per Diem $68 first and last day, $86 otherwise. 10hr workdays. 6-14 days on. Searching for Experienced EMT/WFR trained crew members for our Fuels Reduction Crew to be lead medical. Tent Camping for 6-14 days in a row, working 10hr days, OT, Per Diem. Sawyers cut the brush and Swampers follow them to drag the cut brush to piles for burning. Fuels Reduction Experience not required but must be physically fit, able to hike in steep terrain, and drag brush with a positive attitude. Spiking out (Tent Camping) on Yurok Tribal Land in Humboldt County, Northern California. Thinning the ladder fuels to prepare for prescribed fire in the future. This is a brushing crew running chainsaws, dragging brush, and working in steep rough terrain. Hiring Now-March 31st. Pay $22-32/hr. Qualifications:

•Strong physical and mental fitness, capable of performing strenuous activities and withstand exposure to all kinds of weather such as rain, heat, sun, cold, snow while completing work tasks. •Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with crewmembers and public. •Commitment to environmental conservation and community safety •Willingness to learn and apply new techniques for wildfire management and ecological resilience. •Must be able to wear necessary PPE...

Required Skills:

•Be lead medical for crew. •Helps enforce on-the-job safety practices for crew members. •Safeguards employees and public from hazards in and around the work area. •Reports to: Crew Leader/General Foreperson. •Participate in the creation and maintenance of shaded fuel breaks on private and public lands to enhance landscape resilience against wildfires •Utilize both mechanical and manual techniques Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols during operations, ensuring personal safety and the safety.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in EMT/WFR.
Safety/Leadership/Awareness of personal surroundings.
Strong Communication Skills.
Physically Fit, Able to work in steep terrain and 10hr labor intensive days.
Able to primitive camp for 6-14 days (Kitchen, Canvas Lodge for eating/warming, water, pit toilets provided)
No chainsaw skills necessary but preferred.
