Overview

Program Guides work side-by-side with residents, helping them to understand and engage in PQ’s therapeutic model of horticulture therapy, rites of passage ceremony, and integrative wellness. Guides and residents exercise together, maintain the gardens, and engage in a variety of therapeutic curriculum and objectives, explore the island’s natural wonders, and participate in community service projects. Guides teach residents how to be the best versions of themselves by role modeling healthy communication, holding boundaries, and making sure each resident is safe at all times. Guides operate on a 4-days on, 3-days off schedule—equating to 45-55 hours/week.
