Mountain Academy Overview:
At Mountain Academy, a Preschool through 12th grade independent school, we inspire curiosity, engagement and leadership through transformative place-based education. This mission is the foundation of the important work we do with our students each day. Our beautiful, natural surroundings provide an extension to our classrooms, presenting opportunities for us to deliver high quality learning opportunities rooted in strong curriculum, instruction, assessment and regular experiential learning moments through single-day and overnight journeys. Our Jackson, WY campus (JC) situated in a wildlife corridor, and our small, rural Victor, ID campus (TVC) with its farm and garden program each offer unique and often spontaneous moments to connect learning experiences to our place.

Successful Mountain Academy faculty are committed to building strong relationships with colleagues, students and families; engaging in collaborative and creative teamwork while also taking initiative to work autonomously; and joyfully bringing their passion for teaching to our students. We have a commitment to learning with and through our local and global communities, and in using interdisciplinary project-based learning as a teaching strategy to deepen the learning for our students
