Overview

The Fund for People in Parks seeks an Executive Director to lead the organization in raising private funds to provide grants that help complete projects that enhance the visitor experience in western National Parks. The Executive Director works closely with an Advisory Committee, National Park Service leaders, and private donors to identify, help develop, fund, and facilitate completion of high-impact projects.

The successful candidate will possess:
-Experience making a compelling case for project support and articulating funding needs.
-Familiarity with public lands management, particularly as it relates to partnerships
-The ability to work productively and flexibly with public agencies, non-profit organizations, and a team of staff and volunteers

This is a remote work position with a preference for California due to the location of advisors, donors, and parks. Business travel within the western region of the National Parks may be frequent (6-10 trips/year).

The Fund for People in Parks is a fiscally sponsored project of Community Initiatives. The position is 30 hours/week, exempt. It will include an annual salary of $75-90,000 and a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401K match, and generous leave time.
