Overview
Working alongside a co-instructor, you will lead the successful implementation of the Outdoor G.I.R.L.S. program in Fort Morgan. This role includes both administrative and direct-service roles.
The Instructor will co-facilitate weekly 90-minute sessions on Mondays at Fort Morgan High School, and one monthly full-day outing, for high school female-identifying participants. The Instructor reports to the Community Programs Manager and collaborates with the Women’s Wilderness team as needed.
Required Skills:
Experience working directly with high school youth of all ages in a school, after-school, community, or sport/play setting
Training or experience in social-emotional learning
Strong leadership, group management, facilitation, and public speaking skills
Experience interacting with people with diverse backgrounds
Strong written and verbal communication skills (English as second language is fine)
Excellent organizational skills and ability to track program data using lists, spreadsheets, etc
Preferred Skills:
Bi/multilingual applicants are highly encouraged to apply
Experience or strong understanding of immigrant rights/integration, gender, race and/or equity
Degree in mental health related field and/or relevant experience
Wilderness First Responder/Wilderness First Aid certification
Experience working professionally in outdoor or experiential education
